Spring represents a time for renewal and blossoming, summer a time for vacations and adventure, and fall a time for change and clearing. Winter seems to be signaling to us that there is a special season for stillness. In winter, there is a hush over the land. Life hibernates and goes deeply within.
For us, our minds turn to a good book, meditation, a warm shawl to curl up in and hot tea to sip. There is a relaxation that takes over and we give ourselves the chance to rest deeply after three hectic, creative seasons. We align with nature and let ourselves slip into daydreaming and self-care. It feels like the one time of the year where we can wrap our arms around ourself and feel the love that is self-generated.
Stillness holds a great power. Doing nothing and just ‘being’ restores us. It prepares us to be creative and dynamic in the spring. Living in the sweetness of our home and aligning with the winter silence allows rejuvenation to seep deeply within and make us whole again. We can appreciate our lives and just feel at peace.
